Removing NAV Warning Sign

But on most cars, the warning (nag) screen dismisses automatically after a few seconds. BMW could have at least done that. Taking my hands off the wheel (every single time I drive away) to hit the iDrive seems like a safety issue in itself.

the VW touareg doesn't go away either. our german spec benz '01 S500 has a warning screen - but it goes away after 5 seconds or so.

So then I feel better. BMW isn't that lame after all. Thats what the lawyers want. The drivers acceptance of that notice.

? ? But on most cars, the warning (nag) screen dismisses automatically after a few seconds.? BMW could have at least done that.? Taking my hands off the wheel (every single time I drive away) to hit the iDrive seems like a safety issue in itself.

[/quote]sorry but when I backup the car in my garage, the screen appears way after I put the car in gear and start backing up. On top of that PDC starts beeping and because of that stupid screen, you cant see what is going on. Not that safe if you ask me...

have you had a software update?
mine was fine, and would come up with the screen very shortly after i put the key in, but now, since V13.3 - i will generally have backed out of the spot, and driven about 20 car lenths until the accept button will work. and even then seatbelt chime is still active as it is SLOW about realizing that my seatbelt it buckled.
