Are you changing to the AC Schnitzer I drive knob? If you are i think the actual one looks much nicer..

I used two or three fingers to grab it at the bottom and put pressure on the surrounding wood decor until it popped off. I did'nt grab it and just jerk it off.

Maybe it doesn't make any difference.
