Welcome to the forums.
I'm assuming you don't have the fold down option. Do you have the ski port in the middle?
The thing is that you can't remove the backseat (backrest) from the cabin, without getting at least your arm into the trunk.
The seat part is easy to remove, just lift hard the front edge. You can open the two bolts in the middle of the lower edge of the backrest, but there are two clips in a trunk that release the upper edge.

Ok, if you're reaching through this hole, you won't make it. Your hand goes between the rear shelf and the "roof" of the trunk and you have to get into the actual trunk.

In this pic you can see the tiny clips. They are tricky, because it's not the little clip you have to move, but you have to put a screwdriver or something into the hole and push against the spring. Sorry I don't remember which direction that is, but you would feel the resistant of the spring. Only problem here is that probably you can not reach these things now...

Do only US cars have the little "carjacked" handle you pull if you're locked inside? If your car has one of those, just reach through the ski pass-through and grab it with something...
