Yeah, that's what happens when you super glue a spoiler to a car. I thought initially it was the factory double sided tape, the initial charge would have been $125.00 but when they removed it, it took the paint out with it, so they have to repaint the entire trunk.

So here's an update...
Finally got around to taking the car in to remove the spoiler after countless efforts trying to remove it myself, so took it to the bodyshop and get this... The previous owner had the spoiler glued on using an adhesive that literally bonded with the trunk!!!
The guys at the body shop told me it was the same stuff they use for windshields, sheesh! Anyway removing the spoiler is costing me $850 (includes repainting the whole trunk + decals) + a new shock/spring $227 = $1077.
