I removed the drivers seat and when I replaced it I got a drivers restraint system error. I also got the pass. side airbag errer. I had the seat mat replace about 2 weeks ago on the pass seat. Is there a way to reset either code and see if it comes up again when restarting? I tried disconnecting the battery for about 10 min with no luck. It seems that something happened due to me removing the seat?

That's what happen when an airbag is disconnected without disconnecting the battery first. It's back to the dealer to clear the code.

I don't think I disconnected an airbag I just removed the driver seat. There are 2 connections under the seat not sure if those have anything to do with airbags?

I thought the passenger seat had a weight sensor in it that would turn off/on the airbag? Not sure about the driver's seat. Also, I may have read somewhere that multiple stage airbags can rely on sensors in the seats for rough weight determination to calculate airbag ferocity. Just a reasoned guess, though.

It's actually the seat belt sensor - you the the annoying chime? I had the same problem when I removed my seat and had to have the code cleared.
