Although I have heard of another system, where you talk to the car, sayinig something like:

"Kit, take out the bad guys on the top of the building", and the car will say back "Ok, Micheal, I'm on to it".

As far as I know, this system can be used to switch on the car.

But this system comes only with ugly sunglasses.

BM-trouble-U starting system is an electronic system now. Not purely electrical anymore. The problem with BM-trouble-U is that if you mess up with its electronic, you'll wake up the Giant Grimlin BM-Trouble-U.

What is this Comedy Week at e60 net?? I've seen it on other cars, I don't see why someone couldn't make it for the e60.? The question I have, is will these types of mods kill our warranty?

I'm sorry! I started this but really couldn't resist. Humor is a good thing. I guess based on the responses to this thread none of us are aware of a remote ignition system. Oh wait my 6yr old son has a Jeep........

Actually, my brother has the remote starter on his Escalade. If you live in the cold northeast its a great device to have on those cold winter mornings when you want to warm the carup before heading out to the office

Yes. I live in the mountains of Denver. Several dealers here offer the option, to include MB and Volvo. However, my BMW dealer does not offer the option, but several aftermarketers do. Just wondering if anyone has had it installed in an E60. I appreciate the mature response.
