That's the one thing I don't miss about living in California. They rape you on registration. I love registration fee's in NY -- so much cheaper.

Our property taxes are about 1-1.3% of county's assessed value which is gang-rape. So with that logic you would be living in a 180k-200k house in Cali right now driving an M5 which is probably not the case. And trying to insure an M5 in the LA county will be just as obscene.

I'm only referring to property as in my vehicle. Property taxes on real estate are not included in this bill either.

It is the liberal California Legislature who passes the laws, not the Governor. CA has a 19.1 BILLION dollar deficit now as it moves toward socialism.

Bloomberg reports:
Democrats want to raise income taxes and vehicle licensing fees and levy a new tax on oil production. They also propose delaying corporate and business tax breaks scheduled to take effect next year. Schwarzenegger and Republican lawmakers want to slash $12 billion from spending, including dismantling the state?s main welfare program for families, known as CalWorks.

California is crazy for vehicle registration... $1,300 dollars a year... I would send the bill back after I wipe my ass with it. Let the cops give you a ticket if need be, but I wouldn't pay that.

I thought $230 for 2 years in NY was bad..

i'll tell ya its because your state has to pay for all those illegal immigrants who dont pay taxes. they pack 6 generations into one house and reproduce at amazing rates.
