After roughing up my VMR V17's with curb rash,my indy shop offered to have them repaired like new for 180 per wheel. He tells me that I will not recognize them ,as they will look like new when they are returned.
Does this seem like a fair price? Thanks for your input.

and or why not refinish them yourself? all it takes is a filling compound (easy found at a paint shop or body shop supply company), some sand paper (400, 600 and 1000 grit) and then some paint + clear coat.....fun project and you can save yourself a ton of $$$
but hey im just a cheap bastard looking for an excuse to return to the garage lol

hmmmm $180 is fair but a little high. I was going to have mine done at $130 if I did all four. I opted to just get another set. It wont turn out as you expect it to but they will look better. If you are going to have them done get a cheaper price. For $180 you can find better ones on ebay.

I agree with seanjordan that $180 per wheel sounds a tad high. I'd shop around for a wheel repair specialist yourself. That's probably who your indy shop uses and then tacks on some extra cash for themselves. I bet you could get that down to $150 per wheel or less.
