I have a 2005 CPO and the previous owner wore through the finish of the panel behind the fan control. I don't know how they did it, but I suspect long finger nails. Anyway, to replace the panel, the dealer said you have to replace the whole unit and would cost $400+ to $700+ depending on the VIN number. Needless to say, I don't want to replace the unit so if anyone has any ideas on a way to fix the finish, I would be most apreciative for some help. Thanks.
