Red and yellow sprocket light
Bmw 530i I’m getting yellow sprocket symbol and sometimes red I hook my scanner up when it’s red and it’s a p0979 and p0982 I reset them and red light goes away for a yellow one that says gear can engage without brake. Car shifts fine when it’s yellow but my gas mileage has dropped considerably. When I shut the car off sometimes the red transmission light is on again when I start it back up. Any help is appreciated

You're going to have to hook it up to INPA to get the codes. It's too vague to help you because it can be anything. Go get it looked at if you don't have INPA or Ista-d
