hi guys, im soo curiouss with the reason why our red reflector was changed with cheap black plastic. i went to bmw parts department yestrerday here in seattle, i asked them about that..u know what they say? they cant get it in to the US..they are not allowed to sell it by US transportation department or something..i dont really sure which department (DTI or else).

ohh goshh..it was so annoying!!..why the 3 series coupe can have that?..they just answered "ohh..i really dont know bout that..you figure out yourself..a bunch of people asking me bout that"..what a mess..

I have a 545i on order, does anyone know if it will come with the red reflectors?
If not what comes in their place and can they be added by the dealer?

Since you're in the U.S., it will come with black plastic inserts (no reflectors).

I think I'm in the minority on this, but I actually like that look better than the extra reflectors.

Something that looks even better, in my opinion, is simply having them painted body color, which a few E60 owners have done.

I just got mine today. The one in the driver side, you can under the bumper and press the clip and push out with a small screwdriver. The one in the right is a bit trickier, you will need to pry it out, but becareful with your paint. Use a big rag to cover the screwdriver. Them the new ones just pop in.
