OK - got the red rear reflectors - read everything about how to do it - so got some 17lb test fishing line and went out to the car - and have no idea what to do with it

Started on the driver's side first
looked underneath and there was a hole, reached up there and with my finger bent the plastic tab and removed

total time invovled so far - 45 seconds

Went to the other side - can not get to the rear of the bumber - so I stood there perplexed with fishing line in my hand trying to figure out what to do next

any ideas?

Rudy, I appreciate the link
looking at the diagram it look like the tool goes behind the bumper (inside) which is what i did on the left side

but the right side can not get to - are they suggesting that I let a tool touch the outside of my paint?

I know I am slow, but I would rather ask a million questions and have you think that I am an idiot rather than have to swear a lot and pay someone to fix the scratch

Just slip the fishing line behind the reflector and pull. Look at the new one on which side the sping metal clip is. From the top of my head I think its the inner side. So for the passenger side it'll be the left side of the reflector. Slip the fishing line between the reflector and the bumper and PUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL that should do it.

Picture is worth a thousand words

I use .080 trimmer line which I then flatten ~2 inches with a hammer

You then carefully slide the line between the reflector and the bumper on the inner (closest to license plate side) and pull forcefully.
