This red bulb is blinking. The normal red alarm light is not blinking. Why is this happening?

More info needed. When is it blinking? After the car is locked, when the car is unlocked? Is it blinking in some way other than the normal pattern when locked? By the way, in both my E60's that is the "normal" red alarm light.

That is the alarm red LED. Fast flash for 20 secs after arming means something is not shut: door, trunk, fuel cap, hood, etc. One flash every 3 seconds mean system is armed.

Not my car just took a random picture. This light has never blinked before a smaller red light blinked before this. I also tested the alarm by sitting inside the car while it was looked and it activated the alarm. I guess I had the alarm and did not know it .
