Thumbs up

Going to take the plunge into testing Progman and wanted to know what everyone is using to keep the battery charge at the right Amp? I think the recommended is 20Amp/13V?

Thx

Would like to know this information as well. I just ordered an OPS unit and it won't work without a constant voltage of 13V.

You don't use a battery charger- they only put out about 2 amps.

You need a regulated power supply like this one:

Schumacher INC-700A Schumacher INC-700A

Some people have used a power supply similar to this one listed on eBay:

13.5V Regulated Switching Power Supply

I think you were referring to a battery tender when saying 2 amps.
We already took care of all the programming. We used the following which I've been using for a few years:

http://www.sears.com...=2&blockType=G2

Held a steady 13.8v and updated entire car with no issues.

I just hook up another car via jumper cables! I get a perfect 14 volt with lots of amps from my gas powered, in-line 6, power supply.

Damn you went all out AchtungE60. I simply got the basic sears automatic battery charger, wheels not included.

LOOOOL. This is the type shops use. Sure I could spend $500-$800 on a BMW approved Schumacher but why would I need to? lol. It's already paid for itself 3x over. bike, lawnmower, car batteries when you're doing a flash that takes 10 hours or so you definitely need it! Or my friends MB gel battery that the dealer said was dead...i resurrected it with some additive and a nice juicy trickle
