recall -- pollution issue
#1
Hi, I took my 530i (2006) into the dealer yesterday morning so they could upgrade the software to address the pollution issues associated with this recall. The service manager mentioned a couple of items that caught my attention:
a. 27 modules needed to be uploaded;
b. this took over 7-hours;
c. 3 failed and had to be redone--each takes about an hour to load;
d. they kept the car a 2nd day to fully fix the issue;
e. he mentioned the cip level is now at 25.

Official BMW bulletin at 21.02.01. 21.03 is in some dealers hands. Your dealer does not know how to count yet. No subsitive changes for car itself since 21.01, everything since has to do with software housekeeping tasks or interface with diagnostic tools in BMW shops.
