I tried the reset procedure at least 5 times after getting the Anti-Trap malfunction on my rear driver's side window this morning after inadvertently hitting the rear window button instead of the front. It did not work and I cannot get the window to close. I am reluctant to continue trying as I do not want to cause any damage to the window or motor. Any idea what the problem could be? I did have the battery replaced last week. Would a dealer repair be covered under CPO warranty?
Thanks.
Thanks.

does the window physically go down at all? I had that error when my window was frozen shut in the winter, all i did was got someone to push that button down (window button), while i had the door open and had my hand holding the outer and inner side of the window and pulled it down and that let the window free from the ice. After the window was free, i had to press it almost 5 times just to get the window back up, but after the car went into "sleep" the car was fine in the morning with no error and the button was functioning normally.

The window is totally down. Will not move even after trying the reset several times. I hear the motor cranking, see and hear the the malfunction pop up on the iDrive, but the window is not going anywhere.

Not sure then! Does it sound like its even connected to the window (sound like theres a load on the motor or does it sound like a free spinning motor)? thats the only other thing i can think of....

Tried the reset again this evening. No luck. Taking it to the dealer tomorrow. I believe the repair is covered under CPO warranty.
