Does anyone have a DIY for the removal of rear subframe of an e60.

I have searched and googled and came up with very little results. Any help would be appreciated.

 

What are you trying to do?

 

Iam trying to replace my subframe. The bracket that holds the guide link rod is broken.

 

Have you thought about taking it to a place to get it welded? Might be a lot easier and cheaper.

 

There's only one welder in albany NY area and I was quoted $300 and I got a used subframe for $125. So i rather do the work and have a new subframe than just a welded one. Also I don't want to get it welded and it cause uneven wear on my tires because of the heating and cooling of the aluminum.
