The rear of my moon roof is rattling...

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
The rear of my moon roof is rattling. If I put it in ventilation mode it doesn't do it. Anyone have a fix?

Mine does that too, I mentioned it to my SA and after they checked, they said it was working properly.
I also have wind noise when the glass is closed, but that has been discussed heavily on another thread

When closed? Mine rattles but only when the sunshade is retracted. Mentioned several times to my dealer but never a fix.

I'm pretty sure it's a known issue and BMW has a fix but it requires dropping the headliner, etc. I opted to not have that done to my car last year but now the noise is a little worse (I think it gets worse when cold) so I'm trying to decide if I want to get it done or not. My lease is up in April so I don't really think it matters to me either way.
If it bothers you, you should be able to get it fixed...

Me, I'm not at all tired of the issues. I imagine I'll be going with an Alpine White 550i (how creative of me) with mucho options. I'm not yet sure which options except it'll be an SMG for sure!

Same here, both rattle and wind noise (This last one starting at about 40MPH) when sunshade is open but glass closed.

I got both rattling in front and also at the rear espcially when the sunshade is closed. I have the car serviced end of next week: wait and see.

when i first received my e60, closing the moon roof would make strange noises. told the dealer, they checked it out and said it was from dust that built up during the delievery of my car. why the moon roof was opened during delievery beats me. but they did warn me if the moon roof rattles, it may be because of dust.
