Rear Light Staying On

My Ride: 2007 X3 LCI
Hey fellow E60'ers...This has happened to me twice. I cut the car off, and I notice my left rear light stays on. I inspect, nothingI do fixes it. I cut on the car and shut right off. The light is now off. Hmmm... Ok, so last night I'm checking out some new E60's in the BMW lot and noticed another E60 with one rear brake light on. Is this something thats common, or just coincidence? Just wondering, like I said, I've had the car for over 2 years and it's happened 2-3 times. Just wodering if it happens to anyone else? 
PS- I have Non-LCD tails..

Are you possibly bumping the turn signal lever after turning the car off? Maybe as you're exiting the car?
