Hi All,

2004 e60 530i ......... I have a warning coming on the screens when i start the car claiming i have a left rear light failure. Problem i have is there seems to be no problem.

the service screen in the idrive suggests i go to the stealer to have them look at it however is there a way i can a) source this imaginery issue or b) clear the erroe code.

thanks in advance.

Mine came on and I checked the bulb... it was loose... I put it in tight and the error msg went away. I wouldnt go to the stealership for a bulb.

+1 ... loose bulbs or corrosion in socket are common problem. Another is when a bulb is near failure with a broken filament that occasionally connects in the bulb and shows intermittent errors.

Actually, only two. It's same for pre and LCI. The other one is semi-on when your car is set to parking light or has your low beams on.

I agree. Three bulbs to check on each side. Remove, inspect/clean bulb base, re-install. Check reverse light bulb too.

This car is a piece of shit, which is what I have. I suggest you trade in for another car asap. I ahve spend so far 10000 dollars to fix the car.
