Default Rear Fogs to brake/Parking lights?

Is this posible to do on a pre LCI 2004 545i? If so... please tell me what is required. I would like to have the rear fog lights act like regular tail lights meaning they are dim red as parking lights and become brighter in tandem with the brake lights.

Their are plenty items out there to turn your rear deflectors or they might be painted into lights light you are looking for. I have had mine changed for years to this item. Search on ebay they are selling them in china I believe and the U.S if you find them in stock. I bought two sets in 07 just in case one went bad and they are holding up nicely. The install is real easy too if tapping wires is something you know how to do.

It would seem the rear fogs already work as a barking light.... Guess I just need to know how to make them work as brake lights also. (get brighter with brake)

Lets try this...

I know you can install a Euro light switch panel on the dash that has the rear fog light button and route a wire to the lighting module. Does anyone happen to know the voltage input into the module to activate the rear fogs? This may be as simple as tapping into the right brake switch wire and running it into the lighting module.

Ah... Gotcha. I was more interested in getting the fogs to work as a brake light. If that is not an option on a pre LCI, I will likely just add the Euro light switch and use the fogs regularly.

Can you use an LCI switch on a pre-LCI if you get the trim panel that goes with it? I see your pre LCI has no trim..... Strange because I though the pre-LCI switch and trim panel was all one unit that didn't separate, But I see yours in fact is separated...

I also saw oics of a Euro switch that had what looked like a dimmer roller below the rear fog just like on the left under front fog button.... Whats up with that!?

Not sure if the lci control switch works on pre-lci and for the roller i thinks it works the same way the left side does.
