I was in a 35mph zone, a pedestrian came out, I stopped, and the blue mustang behind me didn't

Here's a pic of the damage, I already have a check from her insurance company, Allstate. But I live in the bay area (mid-peninsula) and am trying to figure out where I can take my 550 to get fixed.

I have a Quad Remus setup, with the mtech bumper (with invisible shield clear bra on the top lip of the bumper) and Hamann quad diffuser. I'm pretty sure the diffuser needs to be completely replaced as it's pretty badly cracked, the bumper might be salvageable (painted) since there's no creases, but hard to know till they take it off since the tabs holding it on might be broken.

Allstate is willing to do what it takes to get it back to the way it was, so I'd like to find a great body shop that can fix it, paint it, get the invisible shield, hamann diffuser and mtech bumper. I called a few shops and haven't found one that does mods. I did all this work down in LA before I moved up.

So I need help getting it back to the way it was. I'm ok with a Hamann diffuser replica, but everything online is carbon fiber as I can't find one paintable. Suggestions please for something in the bay area, preferably close to the mid peninsula/ san carlos, belmont, san mateo.

Thanks!

Sorry to hear that. I got rear ended last month and had to get the M-tech bumper (inside tabs were broken) and M-tech diffuser replaced.

How did you already get the check from Allstate? You have settled on the amount?

OEM M-tech bumper can be purcahsed/ordered easily from BMW dealships. Note that it depends on the Insurance company's policy. Hopefully Allsate will replace all your parts with OEMs. In my case - Farmer's insurance's policy was to go with aftermarket parts. I was lucky that aftermarket parts were unavailable then and got OEM parts from Long Beach BMW. Thank god.

Perhaps try this place: http://www.bmwsfbodyshop.com

For your rental vehicle, make sure you ask for a comparable vehicle through the Allstate agent. The agent can upgrade and authorize you a luxury(?) vehicle, in which you deserve. They first tried to give me an Impala (WTF...), but I convinced them to give me a 328i. Still sucked, but could have been worse.

My bumper was in similar shape as yours but still took freaking 2.5weeks to get her back.

Furthermore, do get your neck/back/shoulders checked out. Pain can come after even 72 hours of injury. You can work with them to get settlement $ for pain/suffering for the inconvenience + loss of pay(tax free) if you had to take PTO days.

Good luck.

which shop do you recommend? do they do aftermarket body kits? I really want to replace with the hamann quad diffuser, not the mtech one.

for Allstate I went into their claims location, they inspected and wrote a check for $1600. But said that it was just the estimate and if it was more than that, the body shop just had to fax them a form and they would take care of it. Thanks for the suggestion for bmw body shop but their yelp reviews are pretty bad http://www.bmwsfbodyshop.com

thinking about this place http://www.yelp.com/biz/costelli-and...%20body%20shop
anyone use them?

I want to stay mid-peninsula and not have to drive to the city. Although I just remembered about Sonic Motorsport and might give them a call

I don't think I have any injury but might be a good idea to go get checked out.
