Hi, I have a 07 530d LCI. It was involved in an accident and the airbags were deployed. Now the rear brake lights stay on whenever the car is started and the battery doesnt hold charge. I spoke to someone and he was saying something about a lead thats connected to the battery and after an impact the alternator wil not work and the lights will stay on?

Can anyone shed some light on which wire this might be, how can it be rectified etc?

Any help will be very much appreciated.

There's a physical link that 'blows' and breaks the connection between the battery and the electronics of the car. If you are able to start the car then that's NOT the problem.

The brake light staying on is a grounding issue. I'd check the wiring around the light that has the problem and trace all the way to the LCM.
