really STUPID headlight question

OK, this question is really stupid:
Why doesn't the inside of the inner angel eye light up, too?
I've tried tried all the switches, hi beams, low beams, fog lights, etc - nothing works!
I've looked at many, many e60 pictures but I couldn't find one that shows both lights on.
It has a bulb inside the reflector, right?

Those are your flash to pass lights, pull the light lever towards you and it will turn them on

Actually, didn't we have this discussion some time ago? Seems that on some models, the bixenons (if I recall correctly), the inner light actually don't do anything.
However, it looks like that one does have halogen for highs, so humm...

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny.

Correct, in the USA for Xenon HLs they are DRLs when activated. And also function as pass to flash when headlights are not activated.
Pre '07 [except early production dates] models require that feature turned on by a dealer. Later e60s can turn that on-off in iDrive.
