This guy doug is really blind if this is how he compares Europe and US. There are great things in both places and weak things in both places. How he can rant about this when we're all here to talk cars is goofy.
I really like Europe and there is a lot about the US I like too. Let's look at the great things that both bring to the world and try to get beyond the weak ones, at least on e60.net!

HDTV better in the US! Really?
WTF can't the world get their act together. Why do we need different standards. Why can't we have ONE HDTV standard, and make life easier for all. We're just lucky that the internet is (basically) one standard. Imagine having some websites that you couldn't browse, becuase there were 2 types of website.
I'd also be happy to change to LHD cars, if I could buy at US prices.

PAL is better than NTSC. I have a perfect HDTV in PAL standard and about 400 channels from all over Europe via sat, some of them even in Dolby 5.1 and two languages (German and Original).
