i didn't have rds before and i think i had 11.2 as well. but after the s/w 13.2 updated, it's there

. but mine still shows the radio frequency instead of the station/song names just because the radio stations here don't support that

I had the exact same issue. Dealer told me that the key without RDS had not been programmed correctly and promised to investigate further...

have you check your radio setting in the idrive

? there is a little box you have to check in order for you to activate rds. two different keys have two different settings. probably the second key has that box checked but not the first key.

Does anyone with NAV actually have RDS working? I've searched everywhere in the i Drive and can't find it on mine. I have a July build 04 and recently upgraded to get bluetooth.

My Ride: 530i - Premium Pkg, Logic 7 Premium Sound, Sport Pkg, Xenon, NAV, HUD.

Now that you mention it, my RDS is not working either. I have NAV & HUD and swore the RDS was working during my test drive.

It's not working anymore though. Not sure what happened.

RDS works fine with both keys since the software upgrade. There is a setting in I-Drive where it can be turned on or off.

Radio Data Service, or something like that. Many radio stations send a signal with their broadcast that provides artist and song, or other programming info. With RDS on, where you typically see the station number, e.g. 92.3, you see the station's call signal, name, the artist and track name, etc, typically scrolling.
