RDS stands for "Radio Data System". This enables FM broadcasters to send information such as their station name, and song information.

Yes, I have RDS with 19.01.01.

Ditto here as well. I have been driving it this way for a week. It is F***ing annoying. I have to live with it for another week. Definitely a software glitch!!

[/quote]On some stations, mine shows name, and, on others, it shows numbers--19.01.01. I have no radio cut-out problems, but it is hard to set some of my presets. And, setting them sometimes is unpredictable too. Good thing I listen mostly to SERIOUS and CD's.

I had the muting problem for the first two days after getting 19.01. Then I didn't drive the car for a few days and I haven't had the problem in over 6 weeks. Cause and effect? Who knows but maybe the car needs to go fully to some sort of sleep mode or it needs a clean reboot. Have you tried resetting the iDrive?
