There are plenty of them around here... of course post-2008 they got renamed 535i x-drive. I have seen a ton - including an identically colored one as mine while at the dealer. I actually thought it was my car .

+1 And the deck lid only shows 535i but the fender has the (ugly) xDrive badge.
Has anyone debadged one of the xDrive badges...are they the same type of simple stick-on adhesive?

My Ride: 2006 525xi-Stock
I think it varies on where you live, So Edkwok99 might not see any in LA. In the northeast there are tons. I was in Boston for 2 years and I saw xi's all of the time. Especially the 535. I'm surprised that you don't see any in Yonkers. Maybe drive into Weschester or NJ. There are at least 4 just in my community. One neighbor even has a 535xi wagon.

why was there an xi for the 530 anyway? i thought all wheel drive was to improve traction, but the 530 doesn't really have traction problems with only 260hp? i wouldn't think the 535 would either at 300 to be honest... (i have a 2007 530i and no traction problems, then again i came from a 360-hp muscle car that had serious traction problems so maybe it just takes a lot to be considered a traction problem for me).
