FYI...I found this...Happens in cold weather, short drives...applies to me at least...

thats good info. i never really noticed when it would do it to me, although it didn't pop up when the outside temps were under 40 which it looks like it should have.

mine is pretty random. the first time it happened it was within 200 miles. the time after was after about 2k.

Condensation happens after freezing temperatures. Right when it starts getting warmer than freezing. So above 40F.

I had the same problem with my Oct/2006 525i (right now, with 75.000km), after 7000km of the last oil change (at 60.000km). I took it to the BMW dealer here in Chile, and they told me that it's normal for this car. I drive almost all the time in Sport mode (automatic gearshift), more than 60km daily, and pushing accelerator to the floor every time I can
I've just put 1 lt. of oil and problem solved...
