My Ride: OLD RIDE- 2004 Titanium Silver Metallic 545I, Sports Package, 6 Speed Manual Transmission, Premium Sound, Cold Weather Package, Folding Rear Seats.
NEW RIDE- 2005 Silver Gray Metallic 545I, Sports package, 6 Speed manual Transmission, Premium Sound, Navigation, Cold Weather Package, Folding Rear Seats, Heated Rear Seats and Park Distance Control.
Dropped car off on Feb 9th for service (I-Drive taking more than 5 minutes to boot or booting up in German, safety feature on rear right window not working, steering column "clicking" when tilting and when turned lock to lock, passenger "airbag off" indicator malfunction, rear seat creaking noise, diesel sounds from the engine in low RPM etc). Off course my car was not ready as promised as the computers crashed during software update and "seven" modules needed replacement. Drove an Enterprise supplied Subaru Impreza for 4 days followed by a 2005 330I with M Package that I am still driving. According to SA, everything is fixed except the "phone module" that is on back-order and hopefully will be available either on Feb 20th or 21st.
You may think that I am complaining about the repair and service but you are sorely mistaken! I am used to that. This is about the 2 loaners.
Impreza is great in snow (14'') and is surprisingly peppy but sounds like a tin can.
330I with automatic transmission is a let-down when compared to an E60. It's slower, noisier and frankly cruder.
Goes to show you how easily one can forget his/her humble beginnings, delivering Dominos pizza for 5 years in a VW Golf while supporting a family and going to school.

Hahah calling a 3er cuddy. thats funny... tell that to the people trying to decide between a 330 and a 525. I keep saying and saying that a 3 is "crudd-ier" than a 5 but no one believes me! Even the E90 new 3er is cruddier than the E60 5er. seriously! Interior is cheaper in the 3.

My Ride: Black on Black 545i Auto, Sport, NAV, Sirius, Cold Weather
Wifey drives an X5 4.4 with Sport
They had to replace my phone module as well.
My rental was a new Jetta - not bad for a sub 21000 car, then an X3.
