I've noticed this about couple of weeks ago, but paid no attention to it. Now I'm starting to wonder ...
When parked (neutral and handbrake on) the engine is running as smooth as butter, after ~45seconds it "jerks" the car like a misfire or can be compared to driving over expansion joint on a highway ... only one jerk and thats it . I was like WTF ... then it does it again at a random interval.
Also, when I was standing outside the car, the engine was running smooth as always, then it started ticking. The tick is a metalic noise, and can be compared to tapping your finger nails against each other. Then the ticking stops.
Any ideas?

My car is 5 years old and recently ignition coil 3 and 6 started to fail. The weaker combustion caused the engine to vibrate vigorously once in a while. I had these coils changed and the problem is gone.
