We played a little tag ass for a few minutes and came upon a red traffic light with no cars at it.
We both floored it at the green. By 60 he was a third car lenght ahead, his tires chirping with every shift, by 90 there was three car lenghts between us. If we were able to go faster the distance would have increased considerably. The sound of the M was fantastic.
We were next to one another at the next light and we both rolled down our windows. I told him his car sounded great and he asked me how much power was my car putting out, I told him I had the Dinan software and it was 384 hp & 421 Ft/lbs gross. He asked what it was stock and I told him 300/300, he said wow and tore off.
It wasn't even close but it was fun.
COOL !!

Nice run.

Look at it this way......chances are there isn't much more out there that is going to take you. Takes a lot of car to beat a 335 with Dinan.

Cool story. I hope it happens to me one day soon! In Pittsburgh I see so few E60's around. However, another Silverstone M5 pulled onto the highway as I passed it yesterday. I was hoping he'd catch up to me, but he was driving like Miss Daisy. I never saw him again.

And I've never pulled up next to an E60 at a light, in over a year of E60 ownership.

At least the M5 driver/owner was cool and acknowledged you at the following light. Respect. Glad to hear nobody was hurt or not in harms way (hopefully). Drive safely...

Yah, I ran with a Ferrari 430 some time ago down the freeway and we took off at 70 mph. I blew the doors off that 430 by the time I reached 110 mph

I DID RUN A F430 ONCE LOL. I AM GUESSING THE IGNORANT PRICK THOUGH I WAS A ///M SINCE IT WAS AT NIGHT AND MY CAR IS BLACK. I WAS GOING ABOUT 50 ON A 35 WHEN I SEE A SILVER MODDED F430 ABOUT A BLOCK AHEAD ME. I DECIDE TO PULL TO CATCH UP TO HIM TO CHECK HIM OUT. I AM GUESSING HE SAW ME PULLING TOWARDS HIM THROUGH HIS REAR VIEW MIRRORS AND AS SOON AS I GET BEHIND HIM HE FLOORS IT AND REVS IT LIKE 3 TIMES AND TURNS RIGHT ON THE SAME AVENUE I HAD TO TURN ON. ONCE HE SAW ME TURN BEHIND HIM HE STARTS REVING HIS ENGINE ABOUT FOUR TIMES MORE AND TAKES OFF!!! I TAKE OFF BEHIND HIM WITH MY SNAIL AND CATCH UP TO HIM ONCE HE SLOWED DOWN. ALL I REMEMBER WHEN HE TOOK OFF WAS THE BLUE FLAMES THAT WOULD COME OUT OF HIS EXHAUST ALL THE HE WOULD SHIFT AND GUN IT!! I WAS LIKE WOWW!!!!
