Hi all stupid question but does the rain sensor wipers only work if you press the button on the stalk and the green LED comes on so if i dont press that the wipers will not work when it rains, its just my Audi they were set on all the time and worked as soon as it rained. i tried to see if they stay on when the ignition is turned off then back on but the turn off again.
But cant believe how much better my 5 series is drive compared to my A6

When you depress the button on the stalk it activates the sensor. If you do not push it, it will not register rain.

Glad you like it... I like it too

On our cars, you have to activate it each time -- this prevents damage to the wiper mechanism when turning the car on after the blades have frozen to the windscreen in winter and it prevents damage when driving through a car wash...

+1 ... as annoying as it may seem to activate it whenever restarting the car ... you only have to avoid one goof-up to make it all worthwhile!

Hi Guys,

I have a small problem with mine, that someone has cut the wires off my sensor. Have managed to find a similar plug, but need to understand which wire goes where.

Would anyone be able to take a picture of their plug so i can see the wire colour vs pinouts.. Then i will probably find out why the wire was cut!

Thanks

Slight off topic, but I have a quick questions.
After activating the auto wiper, which way is make less sensitive to rain, up or down(big square or small square)?
I tried both and it seems same sensitive to me. I want less wiping but no matter which setting i put it just has same sensitivity.
