Hy guys,

Please help me out with this stupid situation.
Couple days ago I've had a little fender-bender and my front bumper cover got a nasty crack in the middle of front bumper lip. The panel on the attached picture got shatered and I need to replace it as well but I have no idea how to find the PN or at least a description of this plastic panel which has some kind of sensor (oxygen? temperature?) mounted on it.
I tried one of local body shops and they quoted more than $700 for bumper repair so I'm thinking about buying used one from someone that recently installed M-kit and installing it. If I will be lucky to find a pinted one (black jet) I may end up with paying 200-300 for the whole project so I won't deal with my insurance whioch I'm trying to avoid.

Please help me to identify this part and let me know if you have front cover (black jet - 530i w/out parking sensor) for sale.

Thanks a lot!!!

I'll give it a shot.
Could it be a part of the airflow intake?
Something like the part marked w yellow text in this pic?:

Is the an original BMW PN or a link to a parts list you can help me with?

Part No is:
51 74 7 166 930

But a strange thing is that the parts guide says that this part is not fitted on a E60 530i?? But it seems to be on the 540i...

So you'd better doublecheck.

cheers

It's probably a good idea to post what country you're in as well as the year (or manufacture date) of you car. Often times different part numbers are used, etc. so it might be the smart way to proceed...

You are absolutely right; it got out of my radar somehow

I'm in US. The car is 2006 530i w/out parking sensor package.
The search for "airflow intake" or "lower airflow intake" leads me to nothing and the swedish catalog number does not work with any US OEM parts search pages.

Sad!
