I've had a V1 for about 10+ years now, I feel naked with out it if I forget in in rental cars.
Even if you don't speed much or don't it helps with the crappy towns that have artificially low speed limits or speed traps ( dropping from 70 to 40 mph with out any warning...any one?)
Now with the use of Lidar you are basically SOL, as the results of the jammers are mixed at best.

You can't look at it as a speed and get out of jail free card. It's a tool you can use to HELP you find police. Don't rely on it 100% and you will be fine.
I've been using an old Whistler that I got when I first got my license. I'm sure there are way better units now, but I know it's little quirks and I trust it.
