... on the M11 today and some guy in a 2004 Scooby WRX "under" took me!!!

so with 3 up and full of luggage (from 80mph) I chased him.
Surprisingly I was having to ease off gas for fear of ramming him!!!

The guy continued undertaking others and that wasn't for me .. but had made my point!!!

Was it a STi because that car has supercharged superfast speed from both the line and at the 1/4. It's half the price of your car, though and not worth the race plus the SAFETY

If not an STi, then you can school him/her all day/night long. Maybe he thought you were a 525i? Can't see very clearly between a 2 and 4 from a distance.

From a roll those things are dogs.

From a dead start they have good 60 ft times and then watch them throw out the anchor as the reality of physics sets in.

What's your understanding of fast in the 1/4?

If a car isn't pulling off at least 112+ in the 1/4, I don't really consider it fast. It's almost like you're waiting for the traps to come up...ho hum

Don't get me wrong, I don't think running a mid 13 107 mph 1/4 is a bad thing, just not supercharged superfast. That's Fast and Furious thinking.... I'm just guessing that that's about what a stock subaru would do in the 1/4, correct me if I'm wrong.

In the context of things, "supercharged and superfast" for a 2.5 liter engine and a light car (300 hp, 300 lb torque at 4K rpm). I guess the correct term should be "tubocharged."

aren't these things 2L engines? I thought the Scooby & Evos were 2L, while the Skyline was 2.5L

Euro/Jap WRX/STI is 2 liter

North America WRX is 2 liter (2006 2.5) and all NA STIs are 2.5 (2004+)

Be carefull of STIs, they can be modded easily for a lot of horsepower. My white 2004 STI has 500HP from bolt on parts and will spank 600cc sportbikes on the highway!

545 is a highway car and WRX/STI are rallybased cars geared for max acceleration to 160, after 160 they are dogs.
