Hey Guys,
Just a quickie on disconnecting the battery. There are times when I need to work on the car that includes fiddling things around the airbags such as removing the steering wheel to fit a new trim or replacing the stock speakers in the doors. I've read that its best to disconnect the battery prior to doing all of this so that I won't activate an airbag fault code.
Do I just lift up the red lid and unscrew and disconnect that cable? Or do I have to go to the boot and full disconnect the battery?
Thanks.

Wow thanks for that, I'm glad I asked. Is just disconnecting the negative (black) connection sufficient and do I need to wait a period of time at all before I commence work?

The [mechanical] key works - as long as they don't have a trunk finisher that covers it. If the key lock is covered, like it is on mine, I attach 12v to the jump start location (under the hood) to give power to the car to electronically open the trunk.
