I plan on keeping this vehicle for a LONG time so I plan on doing some preventative maint. on my 2004 530i.

Castrol 5w 30 oil and filter

??? tranny fluid - is it just regular ATF? or does BMW use some sort of proprietary fluid combo.

??? Diff fluid - my gut wants to say that this is just some type of synthetic 90 weight oil.

So My question is... Is the above right and where do you guys typically purchase these types of items online?

Do a search on here and you'll find your answers.

BMW's are very picky on the fluids. If you put the wrong fluid in its going to cause damage. They use some odd weights in there fluids that sometimes can be hard to find.
