Hello everyone,

Well, I have to say how pleased I am in finding this site dedicated to 5series.I am a brand new member and have had a chance to surf around for some answers to some of the questions I have and am not familiar with some of the terms and phrases used. We just bought our first 5series. Its an 04' 530i in Olivin metallic green and Tan interior. She has 80000 miles and runs and drives wonderfully. I'm interested in doing some of the LED lighting upgrades that I've seen in some of the photos on this site as well as the Fog light upgrade and Angeleye halo upgrade. I like the look of the amber colored spears ubove the headlights (eyebrows?).Is this an upgrade or something that is standard. Mine don't light up at all so I'm not sure if they are not working or what's going on. Also what does the term LCI and Pre-LCI mean? Any help wpuld be greatly appreciated as well as trusted sources for the lighting purchases and DIY instructions. Thank you so much in advance.

For the eyebrows not working, you should take it to the dealer for a software upgrade. It's a well known issue with certain version of the software.

 

For the eyebrows since they are not currently working they can be enabled by going to the dealer they can do a software upgrade to enable them. All e60's have eybrows. For foglights/angel eyes/interior/exterior leds. I highly recommend brabusamg. The brightest pre LCI bulb upgrade is mtech v2. LCI refers to life cycle impluse. LCI models are the newer ones 2008 and up. They have a different bumper, LED (wing) tail lights. They also have upgraded angel eyes which are much brighter than pre-lci (04-07)
