Just picked up a 2010 550i and have questions on the comfort access/iDrive.

When I parked my car in the garage, I press the stop/start button to shut the car off (key fob in my pocket). When I step out of the car, the temp/time and iDrive stay lit and the radio is still playing????? When does the temp/time and iDrive shut off?

What I did was I press the lock on my key fob to shut the whole car off, then unlock the car again.

Would appreciate any help. Thank you.

I posted this same question when I got mine back in June of last year. When you turn the car off, you can either hold down the start/stop button until everything turns off (about 3 seconds) or you can press it once which will leave the radio on, and then press it a second time (make sure foot is not on brake) to turn everything off. I was doing the same thing you are by locking it with the fob and unlocking it again, so I understand! Hope this helps.

+1 This is how I normally shut the car off. My key fob stays in a leather BMW pouch I got when my car was delivered. I hardly ever push any of the buttons.
