You think this is bad. Try owning an M3. You will never leave your computer. You get answers in seconds on that board and debates about performance mods and engineering need to be witnessed to be believed. So if you?re addicted to the E60 board DO NOT get an M car. It will take over your life.

It's not the car, it's the people. The car got us all together, the people kept us here.
Agree 100%

Its the forum and the great members.

No other makes have a forum like this, or even the other BMW models (for example the immature E90 forum).

Ya its really the people that make it great! I've surfed a lot of message boards but this is by far the best one. I tried ClubLexus and left it pretty much the day I signed up.... there was no connection to me. It just didnt feel right. Also dumped the car too hhahaa

As one of the things that prompted me to ask is when DRLEV posted about his tought decision on which car to get, then he was getting all this feedback from everyone, then Rudy post and Icon with the guy eating popcorn, kind of as he was sitting back watchin it all go down, and I cracked up laughin.....

Times like this past week, where I've really needed opinions re: my new ride choice, make me truly appreciate this board and all of the great people on it. I love all of my cyber-buddies, even C, who is a Raaaaaanger's fan!

Now I wonder if we would all get along as well in person?

In the morning, I usually check this site right after I check the stock market. And then I check back here, again and again and again, pretty much all day and weekend long. I think I need another hobby!

The forum is well administered with a very light touch.

There are a hard core of posters who set the tone in terms of courtesy and friendship and all round good manners.

If a newbie asks an oft repeated question on this board, they'll get a friendly reply with a link to the correct post. Try that on a Linux group!

Finally, the tips and tricks and technical advice seem to be reliable. Why do I say that? Well, I've noticed that if someone states a certain fact that doesn't seem right (perhaps for a particular market) - they will be gently tested with a few questions to clarify things - very healthy.

I think this is one of the few boards I have felt happy to donate to a few times. And I'm a kilt wearing, card carrying Scotsman...

Hit the nail on the head.

I'm on here numerous times per day and have managed to get Mrs. MacSid hooked on reading what we're up to as well!
