Maybe it's different in NA models, but in EU, there is no setting AFAIK for folding morrors in iDrive.

I meant to say "maybe", if it can be set to begin with. In the US, you cannot choose that option on any car with powerfolding mirrors, I know that it can be done on MB models. 2008 is the first year where the E60 came with powerfolding mirrors except the E60 M5.
