In my 2005 papers i read: if you have a M steering wheel the shift road is shorter?
What does that mean? I have a short shifter mechanic device? I just have a shorter shifter to manual shift or is it something electronick that changes the settings of the shift gears and by doing so making the car faster?

Hello
With the M package you get a M gear knob ( the part you hold in your hand )
This M gear knob is a bit shorter than the normal manual gear knob, making the movement from say 1st to 2nd gear slightly shorter, so BMW calls this a "short shift"
It is not as short as changing the mechanical parts like using a UUC SHORTSHIFT
