Default Question on key fob,

I have a 2010 s60 535i it only came with one non comfort access key fob and all it works to do is turn on the car in the slot and I have to use the physical key to lock and unlock the car. There is no low battery alert on the dash when I put the key in and my am/fm radio still works so I’m assuming my diversity antenna is still good. Is there anything else that could
be wrong with it? I have also checked no key is locked in the CAS

So none of the buttons on the fob appear to do anything? No lock/unlock/honk/windows open, etc? Has it always been this way? Did you just get the car? Is the battery in the fob new? My key is different than yours since I have Comfort Access (which means it has a replaceable battery), but I know some of the E60s have non-replaceable, rechargeable batteries in them that charge while the key is in the ignition. Can you show a picture of your fob?

no none of my buttons do anything to the car no horn no lights no trunk nothing. I’ve had the car roughly 2 weeks so far and have been daily driving it the whole time. The key fob is one of the non replaceable batteries variant

Have you done any drives with it over 30 minutes? I'm wondering if the battery has died in it. Also could try to resync it. Can't say I've done it but I've read about others doing it. Here's something I found.

It sounds like you need to replace the battery in the key FOB. I realize it is a "non-replaceable" battery, but there are plenty of YouTube videos showing how to do it..it's not that bad, I've done (2) of them. Here is the video that I used
