Question on gas mileage, am I expecting too much?

Of course my driving habits may be a factor, as I'm gunning the car less in city driving. Got 24 mpg on weekend highway drive recently, despite hitting over 110 numerous times and cruising at 85-90 mostly. Not bad.

I get 17.2 MPG with my 545i w/ mixed city/highway driving- I feel better than I'm not much worse than the 525/530i
