You can add something like "Some rumors say the F10 will be bigger than the E60 and I will get it, so I will have a very biiiiig car" .
But you would be "off forum" and "off time"

If you allow me to re-phrase your question, I would point the attention more towards "overall image" rather than "just size" aspect... Although size of E60 is a bit discutable when compared to its direct concurents, in my opinion..
Where I work (and IT IS Europe's banking, finance and... obviously a money-laundering capital) E60's, E-class, CLS, and A6/A8 are the most common cars on the street. In terms of size it is probably difficult to say whether E60 is considered big or medium. It is the upper-class status I assume a reason there are sooooo many of these cars around... And probably many of these cars are also company/lease cars. Not to mention, that BMW is giving 15% discount probably to anybody who asks for it... And it is also not that difficult to by a car TVA-free here (with no tax), so another 15% off...
And I gotta admit it: it is difficult to truly appreciate your E60 in environment like that...
(well, I bought my car with 15% overall NET-price discount and no-tax so I shouldn't be one complaing, but if I want answers to my allegations...
At certain point I even test-drove Lexus is220d because I thought.. it would be nice to drive something very unique around for a change... Pricetag was unfortunatelly too close to new E60, and the fun of driving far from comparable.. so I dropped the idea...
Anyways, only in my office-building parking I can easily count about 17 E60s parked... And I won't mention CLS AMG or Vanquish or few similar cars belonging to the upper-laundering-management...
And that's actually the only down-side of driving this car: "the image" which it represents... (at least from my perspective)
If I drive it in Lux. - it is literally one of a hundereds and hunderds of the same cars around... nothing special... (and admit it: you want your car to be at least a bit special, don't you?). And if I go for holidays to my home-country (Poland) - there on the other hand BMW is considered a synonym of mafia/bald/big/bad guys inseparably wearing Adidas sweatsuit (quite often: the fake, China-made one...). Once, some friends even laughed at me in Poland, asking when you pick up a new E60 at the dealer, do they offer you the choice of your complimentary sweatsuit, or does it always come only from Adidas....
so the "image" of my E60 is not something I could feel proud of... And yet I love this vehicle!
I wonder how it is looked at in different parts of the world?
But coming back to subject: for me the size is just about accurate for everyday driving. Vacation packing though... other story  Then, I would rather be in Passat variant or at least Opel vectra... (sorry to say that...)
Sorry, a bit off-topic: Empty carpark in Amsterdam - to me it is rare! And seriusly 5,50 EUR per hour in a covered underground parking is not that expensive compared to 6EUR/h you have to pay if you want to park on the street (and find a free and safe spot there!!)
The last time I managed to park in Amsterdam in the underground park (in the center) for 4,60 EUR/h it was both: cheap and lucky to find a place there (OK, I was there at 9 AM, otherwise at 2PM all places are usually taken)

(...) parked E60 in Amsterdam in the car park near the harbour opposite the main station and it fit ok. Then again, car park was quite empty probably as they were charging EUR5.50 per hour!
