I just got my new MoTO E815 and I paired it with my E60 BT.
I can see my phonebook..etc. (of course..I called my mom right away to do the test. Did not want to bother britney spears at this time)

But any away, back to my question.

After calling my mom ..everything was just fine..until the below event:

I pressed the little 'icon' button on the steering wheel that has a little guy trying to speak (the voice activation button)

He replied to me something like "please state your command" -- i said ...dial ..i dont remember quiet well..any way.....my phone dialed my mom.

Question: I did not order my car with VOICE activation.

My car is a turtle 06' 525+premium+sport+weather pkg...play mp3 well....But it does not have NAV.

How how can I verify if voice activation is active in my car? I am puzzled..really guys!

amigo525:
I think we all have voice activation, doesn't matter if you have nav. or not. I think you can press the voice icon on the steering wheel and say "help" and get feedback from the "voice". I would start there. Without nav. I don't think we get much more than dialing the phone, still works great in my car.

Vehicles with Bluetooth have limited voice command functionality that applies to phone usage.

To get a list of possible options, you can say "Options". To get out of voice command, you can just say "End" or "Cancel".

Here in the UK if you have Bluetooth alone you get the limited voice. However, if you have Sat Nav Pro too (often the case as they are bundled in the 'media pack') the limited voice is deleted and to get any voice recognition you have to order the 'extended voice' option.

Yes, and you can get different sets of options by saying "options" when you are in different menus.

Very THICK! yah! today i was arguing with my car..I was saying Dial and he insisted that I was saying something else...almost called a lawyer to set things straight!

I need to practice with him: Dial + cancel. He is having a rought time understanding me when I say either one of them

I havent playedwith it much..but I wish i could get a female voice instead.
