Default Question about automatic driving lights

Hello,
Does anybody know how to activate marking lights or angel eyes when light switch is on auto.
On my 2006 E61 the headlights are off when switch is on "auto" but I would like to have marking lights or angel eyes on. The car has LM1 I think, do I need to get LM2? I've seen other e60 where only the marking lights are on.
Thanks!

The LM1 only allows the flash to pass/high beams to be used as daytime running lights. With the LM2 you have any number of options available to you.

With a simple app for your smart phone, like Carly for BMW Pro, you can do your own coding and diagnostic work.

Thank you for your reply, I have ncs, autologic, launch as tools for coding and programming, I just want to side marker or marking light to stay on when I have the light switch on auto.
As now the lights are completely off when I use auto. And I can find any coding option to turn sidemarkers on with all.
Hade some hope someone knows a trick how to do so

According to NCS Dummy, LM1 only has DRL off, on full, on dimmed, and a dimming.

LM2 has a variety of lights that can be enabled for DRL: front turn signal, front side marker, tail light, etc.

During the day, activate the dash switch for the fog lights while the in the auto on mode. you might like it.
