My car is only over 4 year old. I noticed this when I was washing my car last weekend. :(
Quality of BMW
I park the car in the garage other than work days.
Any suggestion on how to get this fixed :help:

I have that same problem! (assuming its the window moulding)

I had my mother's VW Toureg windshield repaired last week and asked the guy how much it would cost to replace the moulding. The guy said he could have his in-shop specialist check it out and if it is repairable he would just charge me for labor as long as I pay for the moulding myself.

I also called another place and the guy there said the moulding can run around $90.

But then again, not too sure about these shops and their work. You should try asking a trusted window repair shop or even a body shop. Let me know how that works out for you!

New seals and that's it.

Even if it's not a E60.

Not normal on a 2004 anything, assuming it's your e60 you are talking about. If so, it's defective to say the least.

It's not a big expense, however. You could probably order the replacement rubber from Garry and have a reputable glass shop do the install.

Oh the rear window seal, ya... thats common. Any car being beat down by this type of sun... especially if you're in TX FL CA or Abu Dhabi

I had mine replaced last year -- not covered under the warranty either; at least that's what I was told. Had the same problem with my '99 540i/6 (which I replaced as well) -- think it has to do with the sun here in FL. Just couldn't stand looking at it and spent the $$$ to have it replaced.

Also, my front lights lense covers are very "hazy" -- again same issue that I had with my previous E39 (which I replaced)... wife's '06 Camry has this same issue...

I cover my car everyday and still this happens...

Or more likely sloppy window ice scraping... I've had this on a Honda and Volvo...
