Q: CPO or no CPO
DO THE CPO! I'm so glad I did. Its an inconvenience when you have to bring your car in to the dealership but atleast you won't have to worry about paying for it.
Its a bimmer so it'll have problems(small or big), go CPO!

Have you explored an after-market warranty for the 07? Getting those extra options, particularly the logic 7 and comfort seats, is a real bonus in addition to being a year newer.
Thank you guys for your input. I do love the 07 and the comfort seats/Logic-7 are excellent options- I also prefer the interior color to the 06 black. However, it is not possible to have BMW CPO a car that is not purchased from them. The after market warranty costs about $2200. That would take me over the budget maximum.
Both cars are still under manufacturer warranty for at least another year/10K miles, but it seems CPO gets the overwhelming support from this forum and else where.

I'm with the majority here. I'd definitely prefer a CPO car to a non-CPO car. One would hope you'll never need to call on it, but if ever you do, you'll be glad you have it...
